PROJECT OVERVIEW
The CSES Community Platform was designed and developed for Columbia University’s Shoulder & Elbow Society (CSES) as a secure digital community connecting its fellows through a centralized WordPress environment. We transformed the Society’s existing Wix prototype into a scalable platform built around professional connection, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ongoing member engagement.
The platform combines CSES’s public-facing presence with a private member experience featuring secure authentication, individual fellow profiles, community activity feeds, event information, photo and video resources, and a dedicated environment for discussing de-identified difficult cases. We also developed the underlying community and content architecture to give CSES a manageable platform that can expand with new resources and functionality over time.
Because much of the CSES Community Platform is intentionally restricted to authenticated members, only limited imagery from the completed platform is shown here. Much of the project’s functionality and member experience exists inside the Society’s private community.
